2Pint Software welcomes Christian I. Nilsson to the team!

If you don't know the name Christian I. Nilsson already, then you soon will!

You probably already know that we love the open-source software iPXE and that we’ve been active contributors to the community for many years. We’ve also built on this foundation to create our own products: iPXE Anywhere, 2PXE Server and iPXE Anywhere Web Service. Now, in a major coup for 2Pint Software, we’re excited to welcome one of the most knowledgeable and passionate developers (not withstanding a couple you already know) in the iPXE community – Christian Nilsson – as the newest member of the 2Pint family. Christian is a Sweden-based developer, systems administrator and network technologist (if reaching out make sure to mention IPv6 and your position on it). He is hyper-focused on automation, robust systems management and IPv6 adoption.

Christian combines hands-on operational experience, ranging from PC repair, small business ownership, and personal projects to enterprise-level .NET application development and office infrastructure management. His background includes developing .NET applications, small electronic IoT devices, managing office networks and Windows Active Directory environments, A man of many skills and extensive experience, he is a fantastic addition to the 2Pint Software team.

Christian has long been a strong advocate for open-source work and maintains a substantial GitHub presence with dozens of repositories and contributions. His contributions span system tooling, boot and network tooling (including iPXE-related repositories and wimboot tooling), Linux/Gentoo automation, headless installation, backup and administrative scripts, and a wide range of sysadmin utilities.

If you’re thinking, “I’ve heard that name before,” you’re probably right. Besides his repositories, Christian, is active in a number of communities. His security mindset, focus, and research are key reasons we’re confident he will make an outstanding impact at 2Pint Software.

His career trajectory — from PC hardware to systems development, network and server operations, and, since 2015, more advanced software development and systems responsibilities — has given Christian a clear vision for solving problems and driving continuous improvement. He champions the automation of repeatable tasks, the integration of network technologies, rapid root-cause analysis, and the design of pragmatic short-term fixes alongside scalable long-term solutions. These strengths are evident in his day-to-day work.

Outside of work, Christian enjoys spending time with his young family north of Stockholm or visiting his in-laws in Japan. We’re delighted to welcome him to the team and have already benefited from the fresh perspectives and new ways of working he brings.
